ArcaLabs vs. Rogo

A side-by-side comparison for firms evaluating Rogo alternatives. Rogo drafts a deck, a model or a memo from a prompt. ArcaLabs delivers the file checked, sourced, and in your template.

Executive summary

Three things separate them, and all three happen after the draft is written.

  • Checks that stop the file. ArcaLabs finds hardcoded numbers where a formula should be and converts them, recalculates the workbook, and checks it for errors. Decks are rendered and compared against your template. A failed check stops delivery. Rogo’s Excel add-in can link and audit tabs, but you have to ask it to.
  • Sourcing that stays in the file. In ArcaLabs every number carries a note saying where it came from, saved inside the workbook. Click a figure and the filing opens at that number. Email the file and the notes go with it. Rogo shows sources inside its own app, and does not say what happens after you export.
  • Who pays for the data. ArcaLabs is FactSet’s Official AI Partner, and FactSet and other data licenses are included per seat. Rogo connects to the same providers, but you bring the subscriptions, so that cost stays on your budget.

All three decide the same thing: whether the file you send survives review.

Building the deliverable

Both will draft the files a deal team sends. Only one checks them before they go.

Rogo

Felix builds decks, Excel models and Word documents from a prompt, run from the Rogo app, an Excel add-in or email. The output is a draft. Checking it is a separate step you start yourself: the add-in will link and audit tabs when you ask, and nothing stops a file that still has a hardcoded number in it.

ArcaLabs

The same files, built from your templates and your firm’s own definitions, saved as versioned deal files. Then three checks run on their own. Hardcoded numbers are found and turned back into formulas. The workbook is recalculated and checked for errors. The deck is rendered and compared against your template, and anything short of a pass stops delivery.

Sourcing and audit trails

Both platforms cite sources. The questions are what you get when you click one, and whether it is still there after you send the file.

In ArcaLabs every number carries its own source. What a reviewer does:

  1. Click a figure in the model.
  2. The filing opens in the app, scrolled to that number.
  3. Work through the tagged figures, marking each one reviewed.
  4. Sign off. The record of the review is kept.
  • If a company reported the number, the tag links to the filing, not to a data vendor’s copy of it. Diluted shares, total debt, cash, the LTM actuals under an EV bridge.
  • Numbers that only exist on a data vendor, like a share price or a consensus estimate, name the vendor and the date instead, and are never dressed up as coming from a filing.

Because the notes live in the workbook, they are still there after you email it.

Market data and licensing

ArcaLabs is FactSet’s Official AI Partner. The license is included in the seat price, and we can work off another provider (e.g. Cap IQ) if your firm prefers. If your team does not already hold a full market data contract, that is the difference between starting next month and starting after procurement.

Rogo connects to the major providers, but you bring the subscriptions. It reaches the data; you keep paying for it.

Holding the license also lets ArcaLabs check the data before it reaches your model. Every ticker is confirmed against its home market first, because a blind US default returns the wrong company on foreign names. Ask for TEP and you get Tallgrass Energy rather than Teleperformance, and the comp set looks fine until someone senior reads it.

The deal record

Both platforms put work in your inbox. They point in opposite directions.

Rogo

The inbox points inward. Email is how you send Felix a task and get the output back, and agents can run on a schedule. It is a channel for instructing the software, not a place a counterparty writes to, so the deal’s correspondence stays wherever it already lives.

ArcaLabs

In ArcaLabs the deal log works with the email you already use. Connect Gmail or Outlook and correspondence is matched to the right deal automatically, so the record builds itself without anyone forwarding anything. Each deal also gets its own address that counterparties can write to directly, and the agent drafts the reply there for you to approve. Every email, meeting and agent action lands in one deal log you can export.

One inbox is for telling the agent what to do. The other is the record of who said what to whom, which is the one compliance asks for.

Where they differ

Rows where both platforms do the same thing are left out. The Rogo column describes that company’s public material as of August 5, 2026.
Area ArcaLabs Rogo
Checks before delivery Live formulas, workbooks recalculated and checked, decks compared against your templates Excel add-in can link and audit tabs when asked
Sourcing On every number. Click it and the filing opens at that figure Shown in the Rogo app, not in the file
After you export The notes are inside the workbook, so they survive the email Not stated
Reported vs estimated A filing beats a data vendor’s copy. Vendor-only numbers name the vendor and date Not addressed
Market data license Data agnostic. All licenses (e.g. FactSet, CapIQ) included in the seat price Connects to the major providers. You bring the subscriptions
Correspondence An email address per deal, drafted replies, one deal log you can export Email sends the agent tasks. No deal record
Where you work One workspace, with the deal as the unit of work Split across the Rogo app, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VDR, Teams, email, etc.

Conclusion

Files fail review in four places. A number was pasted in rather than calculated. The template drifted. An estimate was footnoted as if a company had reported it. Or someone asked where a figure came from and the answer took four minutes to find.

ArcaLabs checks all four before the file reaches you, and keeps the sourcing inside the file so it holds up after you send it. Give both platforms three files from a deal you have already closed, ask for the same workbook and the same deck, then export them both and click a number.

For a deal team measured on what it ships, there is no better AI platform in finance. That is what ArcaLabs was built to be.

Run the same test on your own deal.

Bring three files from a closed deal. Ask for the workbook and the deck, export them, and click a number.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ArcaLabs and Rogo?

Rogo drafts a deck, a model or a memo from a prompt. ArcaLabs delivers the same files checked and sourced. ArcaLabs finds hardcoded numbers and converts them to formulas, recalculates the workbook, checks it for errors, and compares the rendered deck against your template. A failed check stops delivery. Rogo’s Excel add-in can link and audit tabs, but you have to ask it to.

Does the sourcing survive after you export the file?

In ArcaLabs every number carries a note saying where it came from, saved inside the workbook, so the notes go with the file when you email it. Rogo shows sources inside its own app, and does not say what happens after you export.

Who pays for the market data license?

ArcaLabs is FactSet’s Official AI Partner, and FactSet and other data licenses are included per seat. Rogo connects to the same providers, but you bring the subscriptions, so that cost stays on your budget.
